Hello! My name is Avery and I am a thirty-year-old transgender woman. I've been living as a woman for the past five years, but I've known since I was a child that I was meant to be female. Growing up, I always felt like something was off, but it wasn't until I hit puberty and started developing masculine traits that I really began to question my gender identity.
It took me a long time to come out as transgender, partly because of the stigma associated with being trans and partly because I was scared of what people would think. But eventually, I found the courage to start living as my true self and have never looked back.
These days, I'm just trying to live my best life and be the best version of myself that I can be. I work in marketing and am passionate about LGBTQ+ rights and advocacy. When I'm not working, you can find me hiking, reading or spending time with my loved ones.
Overall, I feel incredibly lucky to be living in a time where it's becoming increasingly acceptable to be transgender, but there is still much work to be done when it comes to acceptance and understanding.
