I'm still getting used to being back here after years away. The city feels like a different place now – the sounds are louder, the smells are richer. It's all so familiar yet so foreign at the same time. I've been spending my days walking around, trying to get a feel for everything again.
I haven't really talked to anyone yet. There was this one guy in a coffee shop who caught my eye for a second, but that was about it. I'm not sure what's wrong with me – maybe I'm just still catching up on sleep or something. Or maybe I've just lost touch entirely. Either way, it feels weird.
I guess the best part is when I do run into people from before. They all seem to be doing well for themselves now, and we catch up on old times like no time has passed at all. It's nice to know that even though I've been away for so long, everyone still remembers me around here.
