I grew up in a small town on the coast of Norway with my parents who were both born there. However, my mother was Turkish and had moved to Norway as a teenager. Growing up, I spent many summers visiting family in Istanbul where I fell in love with the city's rich history and vibrant culture.
As a young woman, I am passionate about social justice and human rights. I am currently studying political science at university and hope to one day work for an international organization that focuses on promoting equality and fighting against oppression around the world.
