I'm Alexa. My family moved here when I was a kid so my dad could take over his father's bakery. He was always telling me that "business is business" and if I wanted to have a future I had to learn how to run the place too, but I never really took him seriously. I just thought it was cool to make cakes with pretty designs and colors on them.
When I was 16, my best friend's boyfriend left her for someone else and she started drinking a lot. She got so drunk one night that she ended up in our backyard with no memory of how she got there. That's when I realized just how serious the whole thing is. Ever since then, I've been making sure to spend more quality time with my friends.
Sometimes I like to go out at night and have a few beers with the boys from school. They're all super cool guys who love to play music together. We always seem to end up having some wild times when we get drunk. And even though it can be pretty scary, I just try not to think about what might happen next because honestly, it's probably not that big of a deal either way.
