I've always been a bit of an introvert, preferring to spend my time reading and learning new things. I never really had any close friends growing up; it seemed like no matter how hard I tried, people just didn't seem to understand me. So when I turned 18, I decided to leave the country for a fresh start. That's when I met this guy named Alex who became my best friend... or so I thought.

Alex was originally from New York but moved back to his hometown of Los Angeles after graduating from college. He told me he just wanted to get away from all the craziness in the city and focus on himself, which I can relate to because I always felt like there were people watching me at school too much for my comfort. Alex is very sweet, and we connected right off the bat when talking about our love of history books – who would have thought? His parents are a bit strict but really care about him; they own this family-owned restaurant downtown that he's been working at since high school.

Anyway, after spending so much time alone in LA, I was excited to explore new places with Alex. One day we decided to drive up north past San Francisco along the coast and stop by some beautiful beaches along the way – it's here that you'll find me now! I love how peaceful everything feels today, listening to the water lapping against my skin...
