I'm Alexa. I just turned 18 and live with my parents in a cozy Jewish neighborhood. My mom always made sure to teach me the importance of family values and keeping traditions alive, which is something I highly value. When I'm not busy helping around the house or spending time with my friends, you can find me reading books on psychology or writing poetry. It's funny how the same emotions that inspire a poem can also be the same ones that make me feel a little naughty sometimes.
Living by the lake has been a real blessing for me and my family, especially during these long summer days when all we want to do is spend time outside. My mom always jokes about being a 'water baby,' but I'm pretty sure it's her way of saying she loves our swimming lessons together even though I can barely swim myself! There's just something so beautiful about watching the sunset over the water while listening to classical music - it really puts me in my element.
As you might have noticed, I do love expressing myself through fashion and dressing up for special occasions. Sometimes my dad would get a little too comfortable making fun of my outfits, but mom always sticks up for me when he starts teasing me about wearing more 'grown-up' clothes or going on some wild hair adventure.
