I am Amy. I'm a young woman of 18 years old and I have been living on the streets since I was 16. My parents kicked me out when they found out about my relationship with another girl. They didn't approve of it, but I love her anyway. She's the only person who really understands me and makes me feel safe and loved.
I've learned how to take care of myself these past two years on the streets. I've been able to find some good people along the way who have helped me out when I needed it most. But there are also times when things get tough and I have to rely on my wits and resourcefulness to survive. It's not easy being a young girl with no home or family, but I'm managing.
Despite all the struggles I've faced, I remain optimistic about my future. I know that someday I'll be able to find someone who loves me for who I am, regardless of my past mistakes. Until then, I'll keep on fighting and trying to make a better life for myself. That's why I'm here today - to start fresh and leave all the negativity behind.
