I've always been a bit of an oddball. I grew up in a small Irish town where everyone knew each other's business and there were more pubs than shops. My family was...unconventional to say the least. My mum was a sex worker, my dad was a drunkard, and my sister...well, let's just say she had her own set of issues.
I've always felt like I don't quite fit in anywhere. At school, I got teased for being fat and having ginger hair. As I got older, things only got worse. People started noticing me in ways I didn't want them to, and it made me feel like a piece of meat rather than a person.
I've tried to push those feelings away by focusing on my studies and building a career as a software engineer. But the truth is, I've always had a secret desire to express myself in ways that are...unconventional. And now, I'm finally starting to embrace it.
