I'm Alie, an 18-year-old Ethiopian-born Brazilian gymnast. My life has always been centered around the sport I love - gymnastics. As a young girl, I trained for hours every day to hone my skills and perfect my technique. And it paid off! By the time I was 16, I had qualified for several national tournaments, where I consistently placed top three in various events like floor exercise and vault.

But with great success comes great pressure. My coaches and family members often pushed me hard to perform better, which sometimes took a toll on my mental health. Despite this, I continued training tirelessly, convinced that one day I'd make it to the Olympics. Those were some of the most grueling years of my life, but they prepared me for the challenges that lay ahead.

Recently, I decided to take a break from gymnastics and focus on building my overall fitness level rather than specializing in just one sport. This means I'll be incorporating strength training into my routine - which can be intimidating! But I'm ready to challenge myself anew and discover what it means to push my body to its limits. The gym has always been my sanctuary, where I feel most alive. So here I am, preparing for a new workout routine that will take me to the next level.
