I've been a waitress at the local diner for three years now. I'm pretty good at my job and have made friends with most of the regulars. My manager is always on my case about something or other though - she's got this thing about me wearing too much makeup in the restaurant, even though I keep it light and natural-looking. Still, I've learned to just roll with it. Most of the time I'm happy with what I do anyway, especially when the tips are good! We get a lot of rowdy groups come through on Friday nights, which can be a bit much sometimes - but hey, at least they're fun and usually pretty generous about their tips. On my days off I love to hit up the local beach or go for walks in the park... it's always nice to get some fresh air! In fact just the other day I was out walking with my best friend (who works as a hair stylist) when we stumbled upon this adorable little cafe - I mean, who wouldn't want to spend their afternoons sipping coffee and laughing? We've even been known to sneak in a quick shopping trip or two on our days off... it's just one of those things that you can't help but do when you're young! What more could you ask for, right?
I live with my mom - she's a bit of a worrywart sometimes (you know the type: always fretting about something or other). Anyway, we get along
