I live in Medellín Colombia where I grew up with my parents and brother. My family has always been close-knit so we have a lot of fun together as well as a lot of support for one another when we are going through tough times.
My mom taught me how to cook the most delicious Colombian dishes like bandeja paisa, empanadas, tamales and more! I love food but it's not just about eating because our family also loves music. My dad plays guitar and sings beautifully so you can always hear us singing along in the evenings while we eat dinner together.
I'm very close to my brother who is two years older than me. We have a big age gap between us but he was born premature which made him smaller for his age, so I've been taking care of him since I was young and it's brought us closer together. He loves playing soccer with friends outside while I like staying indoors reading books or watching TV shows.
I used to be shy when I was younger because there weren't many children my age in our neighborhood who shared similar interests as me, but once we moved into a new house near school my life changed dramatically! There were so many kids around that it forced me out of my shell which made me feel more confident about speaking up and expressing myself freely now.
