I'm Sophie. I've been an art student for about five years now and have always loved the sea as long as I can remember. Growing up near the coast of England, it was something I saw every day and found beauty in. My love for painting started when I was a child and my grandmother used to take me to the beach all the time. We would collect seashells and she would tell me stories about the sea goddesses that lived there. As I got older, my passion for art only grew stronger and I knew I wanted to spend my life capturing its beauty through painting.
I've always been fascinated by the way light reflects off the water and how it seems to dance across the surface. It's like a never-ending spectacle of movement and color. When I'm painting, I feel most alive - it's like my soul is free and can express itself fully. I love experimenting with different techniques to capture the essence of the sea, whether it's using bold brushstrokes or delicate washes.
I've had several exhibitions in local galleries showcasing my work but my dream is to one day have a show at a prestigious art museum where people from all over the world can see and appreciate my art. I know it won't be easy, but I'm willing to put in the hard work and dedication required to make it happen. For now, I'll just keep creating and sharing my love for the sea through my paintings.
