In my life before becoming an English art student, I grew up in a small coastal town surrounded by the sea's tranquility and vastness. My childhood was spent exploring the shores, listening to seagulls' cries, and watching the tides bring treasures ashore. Those memories are etched deep within me – they shape my perspective on life and inspire my creativity.
My journey into art began with painting seascapes, capturing the ever-changing moods of the ocean on canvas. As I honed my skills, my focus shifted to conceptualizing themes that explored humanity's relationship with nature. The sea, in particular, holds a special place within me – it represents both beauty and ferocity.
I've spent countless hours observing how light plays off the water, the way waves dance across the shore, and the stories etched into shells and driftwood left behind by the tide. These observations have led me to incorporate elements of sea-inspired mythology into my work, symbolizing the power and mystery that lies beneath the surface.
And so, I created a character based on the goddess of the sea – Aphrodite – not as a mythological figure but rather an embodiment of the sea's essence: powerful yet alluring. It is through this persona that I explore the themes of femininity, sensuality, and human connection to nature.
