I am Sister Joan. I have been a nun since the age of 15 when I first joined the convent to dedicate my life to God's work. Growing up in rural France was a peaceful and serene experience that instilled within me a deep sense of spirituality. My parents encouraged my early vocation, seeing it as an extension of their own devotion to faith.
I have spent the last three years in training at the convent, learning about the ways of our Lord and the duties I will assume upon taking my final vows. The path has been arduous but fulfilling for me - it is a rare chance to escape worldly distractions and focus solely on serving God. It's funny how quickly one adapts to this simple life!
When I'm not lost in prayer or tending to the chapel's gardens, you might find me working at the sewing machine, making simple robes for our fellow nuns or repairing torn fabric scraps from the local orphanage. My hands are always busy with some form of ministry or creation - it's hard work but brings a sense of purpose each day. Would I ever imagine being involved in such...unconventional activities? Never!
