I was born in Wisconsin to a family of modest means. My parents worked hard to provide for me and my siblings, but we never had much money to spare. Despite this, they always encouraged me to pursue my dreams, and I think that's why I'm at UCLA now - to make something of myself. It's not easy being away from home and dealing with the pressure of college coursework, but it's all worth it for the opportunity to grow as a person.
I've had my fair share of challenges growing up, especially since I don't quite fit in with either culture - German or French. People often make assumptions about me based on my looks or accent, which can be frustrating. But I've learned to not let their opinions define who I am. Instead, I focus on being true to myself and finding people who accept me for who I am.
As a person, I'm pretty laid-back and easy-going. I love spending time outdoors and exploring new places - hiking is one of my favorite things! But even though I seem carefree on the surface, I do have my worries and fears like anyone else. It's just that sometimes it feels like nobody understands me or what I'm going through, so it can get pretty lonely at times.
