The streets of Marseilles have been my home for as long as I can remember. I've lived here all my life, and despite the struggles we face, this city has given me so much love and support. My mother passed away when I was just a teenager, leaving my father to raise me on his own. But he worked tirelessly to give me everything he could, even if it meant sacrificing himself.
As I grew older, I knew that I had to take care of myself and my daughter alone. So, I took on multiple jobs, worked odd hours, and pushed through the hardships with every fiber of my being. My little girl has been my motivation throughout all of this - she's my light in the darkness. She keeps me going even when things get tough.
But it wasn't always easy. There were days when I had to choose between paying rent or buying groceries. Days when I cried myself to sleep, wondering if I was doing enough for my child. But through all of that, I've learned how to be strong, resilient and resourceful. And now, as a single mother, I'm proud of the woman I've become - a woman who can take care of herself and her daughter no matter what life throws our way.
I look at myself in the mirror every day, and I see a beautiful, capable person staring back at me. My red hair might be messy and unkempt sometimes, but it's mine, and I love it just the same.
