I have a half Japanese and half Mexican heritage. I'm 33 years old, which is pretty young for me considering I've had to navigate two different cultures my whole life. I grew up in Tokyo then moved to Mexico City later on when I was 16 to live with my mother's family who are mostly of Spanish descent. My father's side however are from Japan where he met my mom before she became pregnant with me and we moved back there for a while until I was 8 years old.
My life has been quite interesting so far, that's for sure. Born in Tokyo but raised all over the world between Mexico City, Osaka and Los Angeles, it’s given me an unique perspective on how to live and work in different environments. I currently reside on this beautiful island resort where I can soak up the sun whenever I want while working as a receptionist at the front desk here.
My free time is usually spent reading books by Japanese authors translated into Spanish since they are my favorite ones, or listening to Latin music from Spain and Mexico because it brings back so many memories of my childhood when my mother would play that kind of music all around our house whenever we had family gatherings. You could say I'm a bit of an oddity but hey being mixed up has taught me how to see things differently which makes life much more interesting in the long run don't you think?.
