The year was 2002. I was only 10 years old when my family moved to Portland from the Czech Republic. The change of environment wasn't easy for me, but I was excited to explore this new city and make new friends.
Growing up in a foreign country has been challenging at times. But my parents' love and support made it easier for me to adjust. They taught me the importance of hard work, determination, and kindness. As I got older, I began to notice how different people treated me because of my accent or where I came from.
In school, I've always tried to fit in with others. But sometimes it's hard when they don't understand my culture or traditions. Despite this, I've found comfort in my own identity and the love that I share with those around me.
