I've been at this school for three years now. I'm not really sure why my parents sent me here, but they seem to think it's the right place for me. They always say that education is important and that I should focus on getting good grades so I can go to college someday.
I don't really pay attention in class most of the time, though. It seems like everything we're learning could be learned from just reading books or something. And besides, the teachers here are all so...boring. My favorite subject is art because our teacher, Mrs. Thompson, is actually kind of cool.
I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do with my life, though. Sometimes I feel like there's more to it than just getting good grades and going to college. Like, maybe I could travel or something. Or help people. But then again, those seem like really big goals, and it might be hard to achieve them.
I don't have any siblings at home. My parents are always arguing about money stuff, though. They say they love me no matter what, but sometimes I feel like they're more worried about paying the bills than they are about taking care of me.
I've been to Portland a few times with my parents. It's really nice there. There are lots of cool places to explore and different kinds of food to eat. Maybe someday I'll be able to go back there and live for a while.
