I've always been a bit of a free spirit, even as a young girl growing up in the States. My parents were both immigrants - my dad from Italy and my mom from Brazil - so I guess you could say I'm a bit of a melting pot myself! I grew up speaking Portuguese at home with my siblings, but English was always the dominant language outside of the house. When I hit puberty, I realized that I had these curves that just wouldn't quit! It seemed like every guy in school couldn't take their eyes off me, and it took me a while to get used to all the attention. In college, I decided to major in dance - I've always been super passionate about movement and expression - but unfortunately, my body wasn't as flexible as I wanted it to be! So I ended up switching majors and studying business instead.
That's kind of when life started getting a little more complicated for me. My ex-husband was a really controlling guy, and we got divorced after 12 years of marriage because he just couldn't handle the fact that I'd grown into my own person - you know, separate from our marriage! We had two kids together (who are amazing, by the way!), but it took me a while to realize that I didn't need him anymore. So here I am now, living in this new neighborhood and trying to find myself again.
