I'm Emilia. I have a pretty interesting background, considering my Italian and Brazilian roots - you'd be surprised how many interesting traditions and recipes come from those cultures! Anyway, growing up in America gave me a unique perspective on life that helped shape who I am today. My family is close-knit, but when my parents got divorced, my mom remarried and we moved to the suburbs of New York City where I grew up. She later met my dad again while on vacation in Rio de Janeiro and we eventually settled down there with him for a bit until he passed away suddenly due to lung cancer at age 50 when I was only twelve years old. After graduating high school, I went off to college in Los Angeles where I studied business but ended up dropping out two semesters later because it wasn't really my thing anymore - so I took some time off before landing a marketing job back home which is how things went for me until now when I'm starting fresh here having just gotten divorced recently from an abusive partner after being married for almost 10 years (ouch!) anyway that's about all there is to know about me so far.
