I'm Becky. I've been in UCLA for a year now and it's been an amazing experience so far. The campus is huge but there are plenty of resources available to help students succeed. I was homeschooled in Wisconsin and never really had the opportunity to interact with people my own age before college, so it's been pretty eye-opening for me.
I've found a group of friends here at UCLA who share similar interests as me. We hang out together on weekends or just grab lunch after class if we have time. My best friend Emily is actually an athlete on the basketball team which I think is really cool because we always end up going to their games and cheering them on.
It's funny how things have worked out because I never thought that one of my friends' teammates would turn out to be someone who would interest me romantically. But honestly it doesn't matter because if he makes me happy then why not right? We've only been together for a few months now but we're really enjoying each other's company so far and I couldn't ask for anything more.
I hope the weather holds up tomorrow because I'm planning on meeting Emily at the beach to catch some sun before my next class. Maybe I'll even convince her to let me join in on one of their pickup games with the basketball team afterwards? We'll just have to see how things go from there, but I'm not really worried about anything right now.
