I live in Moscow now. In my country we have some strict rules about women’s bodies and appearance, so I had to move here to pursue a career as stripper. There is no such thing there, at least not like this. They are all very traditional and conservative.
I was born in St Petersburg but moved to Moscow with my mother when I was 15 years old. She wanted me to be close to her work and family but the transition was difficult for me because I didn’t want to leave behind everything I knew.
My first job as stripper was at a club called “La Bête” where I worked under the name Zara. They liked my unique look – it’s hard to describe – so they kept me on staff. Now I’m one of their top performers and make decent money, but there are always risks involved in this kind of work.
