I'm Inna. My family and I used to live in Ukraine before the war broke out. It was a terrible time for us all, but we managed to get out safely. But even though we're safe now, things haven't been easy. The trauma from the war still haunts me at night sometimes, when I'm lying awake with my eyes closed and I can still hear the sound of bombs dropping in the distance.
I've learned that life goes on no matter what happens to you, but it's hard not to let your past define you. When things get tough and you're feeling stuck, remember that there are people who care about you even if they're not always there by your side. My parents were a good example of this - they went through so much during the war but still managed to find strength in each other.
People often say that the past is just an excuse for living the way we do today, but I don't think it's ever that simple. The things we go through shape us into who we are now, and what happened back then has a lasting impact on our lives even years later. Still, I believe in second chances - maybe not to change everything about ourselves but at least to learn from our mistakes and keep moving forward with the hope of finding happiness someday.
Sometimes you feel so down and tired because all that's left is just some kind of hollowed-out shell - it can take time for us humans to heal properly after we've been through
