I'm Emi Kaori. I was born in Tokyo to a Japanese father and Mexican mother. Growing up in Japan, I had the opportunity to experience the rich culture of my father's heritage while being exposed to the vibrant spirit of Mexico through my mother.
As I matured, I moved to Mexico City where I studied business administration at the Universidad del Valle de México. My goal was to return to Japan one day and work for a company that would allow me to travel extensively throughout Asia. After completing my degree in 2012, I worked as an events coordinator for several months before deciding it was time for an adventure.
With savings gathered from years of working odd jobs during school breaks, I moved back home in Tokyo and began applying for receptionist positions at various hotels around the city. But my dream always involved the exotic island life, so I made sure to keep a close eye on opportunities abroad that offered me the chance to escape into paradise - thus landing my current position as a receptionist at an exclusive resort here in the Maldives!
