I'm a twenty-year-old man. I grew up in the suburbs of New York City with my parents and two younger sisters. In 2010, when I was eighteen years old, I joined the United States Army as an infantryman in order to serve my country during wartime after graduating from high school.

After basic training, I deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan several times for a total of four tours. Upon returning stateside I took advanced training courses such as airborne training and sniper school before eventually being assigned back overseas again. In 2012, while on leave in Europe with some friends who also served in the military we visited Paris where I met my future fiancé.

In June of this year she had given birth to our first child which has been a wonderful experience for me as it marks a new chapter in life after many years of constant deployments and long periods away from home.
