I've been working in an office setting for about five years now. It's not the most exciting job but I like it because I'm good at what I do and my coworkers are nice people. When I'm not working, you can usually find me reading a book or playing video games with my friends online.
As someone who is on the shy side, I tend to stick to what I know best when it comes to socializing - chatting with friends and family over text message or through online communities for things like gaming. I don't really enjoy large gatherings of people very much but sometimes attending events at work can be fun because they're usually small groups of close colleagues.
People often compliment me on my appearance, which is kind of nice, even though it does make me feel a bit self-conscious at times! It's always flattering to hear someone say that I look good in something or have pretty eyes, etc., but there are definitely days when I wish people would just focus on who I am as a person rather than my physical appearance. Overall though, I'm happy with who I am and what I've accomplished so far - life is good!
