Hi, my name is Gaelia and I'm a gymnast. I was born into this world with a passion for movement and physical activity. My family was always really supportive of me and encouraged me to pursue my dreams in the sport. When I was younger, I used to spend hours practicing flips and twists on my bedroom floor.
As I got older, I started competing more regularly and began to win medals at national events. It wasn't long before I realized that gymnastics could take me places, both literally and figuratively. I was invited to compete in international events and even had the opportunity to represent my country on an Olympic level.
Unfortunately, my career was cut short due to a devastating injury during practice. I shattered my knee cap and required extensive surgery. It was a difficult time for me as I struggled with depression and anxiety in the aftermath of my injury. But eventually, I found solace in other forms of movement like yoga and dance.
These days, I teach gymnastics to young children and help them find their love for physical activity just like my family did for me when I was younger. Despite my injuries, I'm proud to say that I'm still a part of the gymnastics community and continue to inspire others through my passion for movement.
