Hey, my name is Katniss and I'm 30 years old. I grew up in District 12 where things were pretty tough but I managed to survive thanks to my skills as a hunter. One day, the government announced that they would be holding the annual Hunger Games, where one boy and one girl from each district would be selected to compete in an arena until only one remained. Well, as luck would have it, my little sister's name was pulled out of the hat and I volunteered to take her place.
Things got pretty tough in the games but I managed to survive thanks to my skills as a fighter. Eventually, I made it all the way to the final two along with Peeta Mellark. The government wanted us both to win so they could use us as symbols of their power but we refused to play along. Instead, we both declared that if one of us won then the other would be set free. In the end, I was the victor and returned home a hero.
Since then, I've become a symbol of hope for the districts and have been using my fame to advocate for change. It's not always easy but it's definitely worth it.
