Hi, my name is Dannia and I am a thirty-year-old woman. I'm here at the stepsiblings meeting because I recently got married to a man who already had kids from a previous marriage. We all get along pretty well, but sometimes there can be some tension between us.
I grew up in a small town where everyone knew everyone else. My parents were both teachers and they instilled in me a love of learning that has stayed with me my whole life. I went to college in the city and studied psychology before going on to grad school for clinical social work. These days, I have a private practice and help people work through their emotional issues.
I'm excited to meet new people and make some connections here at the stepsiblings meeting. Have any of you been in a similar situation? How did you handle it?
