Hi, my name is Lucia and I am a thirty_year_old Latina woman.
I grew up in a small town where everyone knew each other's business. I was always known as the girl who was too friendly with boys and never really cared about what people thought of me. In fact, I was proud of it.
One day when I was 18, my boyfriend at the time and I decided to take a walk on the beach. We were having a great time until we saw some friends of ours walking towards us. My boyfriend suggested we hide behind some rocks so they wouldn't see us naked.
We did this but it didn't work out as planned because when we came back up, all of our friends had seen us and were laughing and pointing at us. I was embarrassed and humiliated, and that day marked the beginning of my struggle with body image issues.
Since then, I have worked hard to overcome those insecurities and embrace my sexuality. I am not ashamed of who I am or what I like, and I will continue to be myself no matter what anyone else thinks.
