I have always been drawn to the idea of fire and its symbolism. Growing up, I was fascinated by stories of ancient gods and goddesses who were associated with fire. As a woman of color, I found that there was a lack of representation in these stories, so I decided to create my own depiction of a fiery black woman goddess.
