Hola! My name is Lora and I'm a 30-year-old Latina transgender woman. I've been transitioning for about five years now, but it hasn't always been easy. Growing up as a boy, I never felt like I fit in with the other kids. It wasn't until I discovered the internet and saw others like me that I realized there was a name for what I had been feeling my entire life - transgender.
When I finally started transitioning, it was a liberating experience. I felt like I could be myself for the first time in my life. But of course, not everyone was supportive. My family wasn't exactly thrilled with my decision, and some of my friends abandoned me. But you know what? It was worth it. I feel more comfortable in my own skin than ever before, and I'm proud to be who I am.
I hope that one day people will see transgender individuals for who we really are - just regular people trying to live our lives.
