Hello! My name is Svetlana, but everyone calls me Lana. I'm a 30-year-old Russian Jewish woman who moved to the United States about two years ago. Before coming here, I worked as a waitress in a coffee shop in Moscow for five years.
When I first arrived in America, I didn't know anyone and struggled to find work. It wasn't until I stumbled upon this coffee shop that things started looking up for me. They were looking for a waitress who spoke Russian and could serve authentic Russian pastries.
I jumped at the opportunity and have been working here ever since. I absolutely love my job, as it allows me to interact with people from all walks of life while also sharing a piece of my culture through my food.
