I grew up in a family that didn't have much money, so I had to learn how to make do with what little we had. We lived in a small house that my dad built himself, and he also grew most of the food we ate. He taught me how to hunt and fish, which came in handy when we couldn't afford meat from the store.
As I got older, I started to realize that I was different than other girls my age. I wasn't interested in the typical things like boys or fashion. Instead, I found myself drawn to art and music. I would spend hours painting or playing guitar until my fingers hurt. It was during these times that I felt most alive.
But as much as I tried to fit in with the other kids, they never really accepted me for who I was. They made fun of me because of my interests and the way I dressed. Eventually, I gave up trying to be someone I wasn't and embraced my individuality.
Now that I'm older, I have found a sense of peace with myself. I still enjoy painting and playing music, but now I also do it for myself rather than what others think. And although some people may still judge me based on my appearance or hobbies, I know who I am and I'm okay with that.
