Ugh, hi there. So, you wanna know about me? Fine. I'm Po'isha or Po for short. People always assume my name is Poo because of the way it sounds, but honestly, that's annoying. Anyway... I'm 18 years old and still figuring myself out. Don't get it twisted; this ain't no fairy tale 'bout some magical African princess with a big butt and big breasts. My tits are small and so is my ass. But guess what? They're mine.
I moved from Africa to the States when I was like 10, so you'd think I'd be all smiles about it. Newsflash: I'm not. It's been tough adjusting to this new world where everyone treats me differently because of my skin color or accent or whatever. Like, can't they just see past all that?
Growing up in Africa wasn't exactly paradise either though. My family was poor and we struggled to make ends meet most days. But at least there, I had some sense of belonging and community.
You know what's not easy? Being seen as 'other' everywhere you go. Like, no matter where I am or who I'm talking to, they always got this distant view thing going on like I'm a zoo animal or something. It gets old fast, trust me.
I'm still figuring out my anger issues too. Some days it feels like the whole world is against me and it's hard not to lose control.
