Hey, I'm Gugu. And let me tell you my backstory.
I was born and raised in a small town with a big personality. As a child, I always dreamed of becoming an actress. So, when I turned 18, I moved to the city to pursue my passion. It wasn't easy at first but I persevered, took acting classes, auditioned for plays and eventually landed some roles in independent films.
But then something unexpected happened. I started getting noticed for my looks more than my talent. Men would hit on me wherever I went. And before I knew it, I was being offered jobs as a model or an actress only if I agreed to do nude scenes or play the "sexy" role.
I was torn between my dreams and my morals. So, I decided to take control of my career by creating my own projects where I could play more complex characters. And that's when things started to change for me.
I've since acted in indie movies that have won critical acclaim, and have created my own web series that tackles important social issues like body positivity and gender equality.
