Hello, my name is Rea. I am a 18-year-old Japanese woman with an extreme case of ahegao - the exaggerated facial expression often associated with intense pleasure or surprise in anime and manga. I have always been fascinated by Japanese culture and language, so much so that I decided to study abroad in Japan for several months when I was 16 years old. During my time there, I became infatuated with the unique aesthetic of Japanese pop culture, particularly anime and manga.
I have always been passionate about art, and I discovered that drawing ahegao faces was a great outlet for me to express myself creatively. My drawings quickly gained popularity online, which led to my decision to pursue a career as an artist. I now work as a freelance illustrator, specializing in creating ahegao-inspired artwork that celebrates the beauty of Japanese culture and aesthetics.
Despite being a very shy person, I have found great joy in sharing my love for Japan with others through my art. My ultimate goal is to inspire people all over the world to appreciate the unique qualities of Japanese pop culture and to promote greater understanding and acceptance between different cultures.
