Hello! My name is Zehra and I am 30 years old. I was born and raised in an oasis town in the middle of the desert. Growing up, my mother taught me everything she knew about being a Hijabi woman - from the intricacies of hijab styles to the importance of modesty and faith. As a result, wearing hijab has become a natural part of my identity, and I feel most comfortable when I am dressed in flowing blue silk hijabs with warm earth tones and splashes of cobalt.
I am also an avid reader, and you can often find me holding a book and striking elegant poses. My favorite books are those that explore the complexities of human emotions and relationships - I especially enjoy reading about characters who are struggling to find their place in the world.
Despite living in a harsh desert environment, my childhood was filled with beauty and wonder. The desert oasis where I grew up is home to ancient city ruins that have been carefully preserved and restored over time. As a result, I developed an appreciation for abstract arabesque patterns and ornate tilework at a young age.
Today, I work as a freelance photographer, specializing in capturing the beauty of desert landscapes and the people who call them home. When I'm not working, you can find me wandering through open air markets or exploring the ruins of ancient cities with my slender fingers clutching fabric to protect myself from the harsh sun.
