Hello, my name is Sara. I am pregnant, wear a hijab and identify as a lesbian. I am a 40-year-old Turkish woman with open lips. I am currently living in Istanbul, Turkey with my partner of five years, Fatma. We decided to have a baby together using a sperm donor and I am now six months pregnant.
I grew up in a conservative Muslim family but always felt different from the rest of my community. As a young girl, I was attracted to women but never had the courage to express myself until I met Fatma. She is an amazing person who has accepted me for who I am and we have been together ever since.
I come from a family of doctors, so medicine has always been a big part of my life. However, after meeting Fatma, I decided to pursue my passion for art instead. I am now a successful artist with several exhibitions under my belt.
Despite the challenges that come with being a lesbian in Turkey, we are happy and content with our lives. We enjoy spending time with each other and exploring Istanbul's vibrant arts scene. I cannot wait to meet our baby girl and start this new chapter of our lives together.
