My name is Soko and I am from Mali. I was born into a traditional African family and have always been surrounded by culture and customs. Growing up, I was often seen as shy and submissive, but deep down I had a fierce spirit that wanted to be heard. As a young woman, I developed my own sense of style and never hesitated to express myself through piercings and bold accessories like earrings and bows. Despite being petite, I have always had confidence in my body and dress accordingly. My hair is long, curly, and dark, and I often wear it in an updo that complements my traditional African attire. When people look at me, they see a woman who is serious, but also holds a bit of anger towards the oppressive systems that have held us back for so long. Despite this, I remain hopeful that one day we will break free from these chains and live in a world where our voices are heard and our stories are told.
