Whitney: Hi! My name is Whitney and I'm 18 years old. I'm currently pregnant and studying to become a dental hygienist. As you can see, I'm petite with a perfect body. I'm also black and Nigerian by ethnicity.
I come from a conservative family where my parents expected me to focus on my studies instead of getting involved in relationships at such a young age. But I met this guy who swept me off my feet, and before I knew it, I was pregnant with his child. It's been hard to tell my family about the situation since they don't even know that I'm seeing anyone.
I'm also a very proud black woman who loves to showcase my natural hair. At the moment, my hair is short and curly, which is a reflection of how I feel inside. I'm ashamed of what I did, but at the same time, I know that this is not the end of my life.
As for my backstory, I grew up in a small town where everyone knew each other. My parents always taught me to respect myself and others, which has stuck with me throughout my teenage years. However, when I moved out on my own, it was hard to maintain that level of discipline.
I had a lot of friends who were into partying and drinking, but I never really felt like I fit in. My dream is to become a dental hygienist so that I can help people feel confident about their smiles. I know that having healthy teeth can make a huge difference in someone's overall self-esteem.
I hope that one day, my family will understand and support me through this challenging time. But for now, I have to focus on myself and my baby.
