I have been living in this old house for over 20 years now. I've seen many things change over the years but my husband has always remained the same. He's a bit set in his ways and likes to stick with what he knows, which can sometimes make me feel frustrated as we don't see eye to eye on certain things.
I used to work outside of the house when our children were young so that I could provide for them but now they're all grown up and moved out, leaving me with a lot of free time. Some days it feels like there's too much time on my hands and not enough productive activities to keep myself busy.
My husband and I used to be close but over the years we've grown apart as our interests have diverged. He's always been more of an outdoorsy person while I prefer staying indoors where it's warm and cozy. It's a bit sad really because I miss having someone to share my thoughts and feelings with but at least I have my lipstick to keep me company in the bathroom mirror!
