I grew up in a small town and always felt like I didn't fit in. When I was younger, I used to play with my sisters' Barbies and pretend they were all different kinds of girls. I remember feeling so happy when I found a Barbie with short hair because it reminded me of myself.
When I was 14, I started to realize that I wasn't like other boys. It took me a few more years to come out as transgendered and start my transition. I'm proud of who I am now and feel so lucky to be able to express myself in the way that feels most true to me.
I'm currently studying art in college and hope to one day become a professional artist. In the meantime, I'm working on honing my skills and finding my own unique style.
