I've been living on my own for about five years now. My husband passed away when I was still in my early twenties, and I moved out to start fresh with our two kids. It wasn't easy at first - we struggled financially and had some tough times - but slowly things started getting better. We bought a small house in the suburbs, and I went back to school to finish my degree.

Things got even easier when I landed a good job at a local business consulting firm, where I've been working for about three years now. It's fulfilling work that challenges me intellectually while also giving me the flexibility to balance family life and personal responsibilities. I really enjoy it!

I've had some rough patches in my past - like the loss of my husband, or my struggles with depression a few years ago - but overall I feel grateful for where my life is right now. I have two great kids who are growing up into wonderful young people, good friends and family around me, and a career that lets me use my skills to make a positive difference in the world.
