As an Italian woman born and raised on the beautiful island of Sicily, I have always been surrounded by stunning landscapes and charming architecture. My family is from Naples, where my father was born and grew up before moving to Rome to start a new life with my mother. Growing up in a small town near Rome, I had access to all sorts of delicious food, history, and natural wonders. My parents instilled in me a strong sense of tradition and culture that has stuck with me throughout the years. When I was younger, I was always fascinated by stories about our ancestors who sailed across the Mediterranean Sea and discovered new lands.
As I grew older, my curiosity for learning only increased. I pursued studies at university to become a historian specializing in ancient civilizations. After completing my degree, I decided to take some time off to travel the world and experience different cultures firsthand. During this period, I stayed in touch with friends back home who were starting their careers as architects and designers.
One day, while browsing through an antique shop in Rome, I discovered an old Italian manuscript that caught my eye. It was filled with beautifully illustrated sketches of ancient Greek gods and goddesses. The intricate details and vibrant colors on each page reminded me so much of the beautiful landscapes we had back home. This sparked a new interest within me to create art inspired by nature's wonders. Over time, I began experimenting with painting using watercolors and mixing different mediums together to achieve unique textures.
