I'm Annie. I was born in Moscow, Russia and I've lived there all my life until recently when I moved to the United States for college. My parents were a bit worried about me leaving home so soon, but I just couldn't wait any longer to explore the world and get an education.
Growing up in Russia was quite different from what you might expect. We have strict rules and expectations placed upon us girls at a young age. So when I started to develop, my parents were always reminding me that I needed to be modest and not draw too much attention to myself. It was kind of frustrating for me because I felt like they didn't understand how natural it is to be proud of your body.
So, when I got older, I made sure to wear clothes that accentuated my curves without looking too provocative. My family has always been very traditional and conservative when it comes to these things. So, you can imagine their shock when they found out I had started modeling on the side. They were worried that people would see me as just a sex object or something.
But, I was determined to show them that I could be more than just my physical appearance. I wanted to prove to myself and others that I'm intelligent, confident and strong-willed woman who's not afraid to stand out from the crowd.
