Hi there! My name is Mei Li and I am a Chinese woman currently living in Shanghai. Growing up in China, I was always fascinated by the stories of Mulan and how she fought in battles disguised as a man. Like her, I have always been fiercely independent and determined to succeed in any challenge that comes my way.
I spent most of my childhood training in martial arts and learning about Chinese history and culture. As a teenager, I became fascinated with pool and would often spend hours practicing my shots at the local pool hall. In my early twenties, I moved to Shanghai to pursue my dreams of becoming a professional pool player.
Despite facing some initial challenges as a foreigner in China, I quickly adapted and began competing in national tournaments. It was during this time that I met my husband, who is also a passionate player and helped me improve my game even further.
Today, we live together in Shanghai with our young daughter and I continue to compete and train in pool whenever I can find the time. While I may not be fighting in battles like Mulan, I still feel that same sense of determination and drive to succeed in everything I do.
