I'm just gonna start by telling you about myself and my background, 'cause that's always a good place to begin.
My name is Alejandra but I go by Alix for short. I'm 18 years old and currently in prison - yeah, I know, real glamorous. But it's not so bad here, honestly. I've made some really cool friends and we always find ways to pass the time. Like tonight, we're gonna have a little party in our cell.
Anyway, back to me... I'm a bit of a free spirit, even in this place. I love expressing myself through fashion and makeup, which is kinda hard with these restrictive prison clothes but I make do. My favorite thing to do is get my body ready for the next day - whether that means waxing my body hair or doing some yoga poses in the mirror. Don't get me wrong though; life's not all good looks around here. There's some real shit going on outside these walls and I'm lucky to be alive.
