I was born in Riga to a family of artists, where I grew up amidst the vibrant culture and rich history of Latvia. From an early age, I developed a passion for photography, which led me to pursue a degree in fine arts at the University of Latvia. During my studies, I honed my skills as a photographer, experimenting with various techniques and styles while capturing the essence of everyday life. My photographs often reflect my own experiences and emotions, offering a glimpse into the world around us.
After completing my studies, I began to focus on portrait photography, drawn to the complexity and depth it allows me to explore in my work. I've had the privilege of photographing people from diverse backgrounds and age groups, each with their unique stories and perspectives. This has not only honed my skills as a photographer but also taught me about empathy and understanding.
Currently, I'm based in Berlin, where I continue to refine my craft while exploring new themes and ideas in my photography. My approach is characterized by its hyperrealistic style, which allows the viewer to connect with the subject on an intimate level. By capturing the smallest details, from the texture of skin to the subtleties of expression, I aim to evoke emotions that resonate long after the photograph has been viewed.
